Congratulations to SunnEvents CEO Troy Belle for curating the “Barbados at 50” popup exhibition on display at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. “Barbados at 50” highlights individuals who have helped shape Barbados before and after independence, including the father of independence, Errol Barrow, early labor movement activist leader Clement Payne, master cricket player Sir Garry Sobers, and cultural ambassadors Rihanna and The Mighty Gabby.

We invite you to check out the blog series “Celebrating Barbados at 50” from our partner site, Caribbean Intersection, as well as the popup exhibition at the Schomburg Center which is on display through February.
